Part-Time DoD IT Repository and Investment Management Analyst
Overview
LMI is seeking a skilled part-time DoD IT Repository and Investment Management Analyst to remotely support the Defense Commissary Headquarters. Successful DoD IT Repository and Investment Management Analyst should demonstrate competency in investment management, leadership critical thinking, relationship management, and financial management while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

Responsibilities
The candidate will support the Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) representative in their duties as required. The position involves selecting, managing, and evaluating information technology investments. CPIC analysts may perform the following duties:
- Assess CPIC and IT portfolio data
- Assist CPIC in assessing and inputting financial data provided from functional representatives into SNaP-IT repository.
- Assist CPIC in assessing and inputting program data and information provided by functional representatives into DITPR and DITIP repositories, respectively
- Provide trend analysis
- Make recommendations to optimize IT resources
- Identify gaps and inaccuracies in IT spending
- Analyze financial data for operations, business performance, opportunities, and investments
- Gather and interpret financial data
- Monitor investment-level project status
- Participate in reviews as required
- Support managers with oversight requirements
- Support CPIC through the select, control and evaluation phases of their inputs
- Applies working knowledge of data collection and analysis methods to prepare detailed financial information
- Applies working knowledge of, and ability to apply, financial concepts and theories to prepare budget exhibits, monitor funds, financial reporting and funds appropriation to solve problems
- Writing and presentation of results and analysis to client management
- Strong quantitative analysis skills and attention to detail, with ability to analyze and forecast trends
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to engage in process improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication/briefing skills; experience with briefing senior management a plus
- Demonstrated comfort working in a dynamic, changing environment
Financial Operation
- Demonstrates knowledge of Investment Management and input into DoD IT repositories
- Applies knowledge of operating budget execution, funds control, processing/recording funding/expenditure documents and funds de-obligation
Financial Management Systems
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of inputs for SNaP-IT, DITPR and DITIP
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics desired)
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in financial management
- Applies working knowledge of data collection and analysis methods
- Demonstrates knowledge of financial regulations and requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Ability to effectively problem solve
- Experience working within DoD IT Repositories including SNaP-IT, DITPR and DITIP
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (MA, MS, MBA) in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics (preferred)-counts as one year of experience
- Certifications: Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Project Management Professional (PMP) - counts as one year of experience
- Previous DOD Budget Management experience.
- Experience in the CPIC role
