Check out our main career site for more details at <a href="http://www.proliancesurgeons.com/careers" target="_blank">www.proliancesurgeons.com/careers</a>Be Part of Who We Are!Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe key duties and responsibilities of the Revenue Cycle Supervisor include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Overall responsible for day-to-day activities and processes of the RCM team.</li><li>Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.</li><li>Monitors key performance indicators in Revenue cycle and will work closely with management to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and minimize bad debt.</li><li>Communicates monthly RCM progress and KPI measures with Revenue Cycle Director and Practice administrator and/or Managing partner.</li><li>Maintains a strong working knowledge of all RCM processes</li><li>Research and identify denial trends. Collaborates between department leadership to improve processes to resolve issues and reduce impact to the accounts receivable.</li><li>Improves processes within department with emphasis on quality, efficiency, and speed.</li><li>Monitor daily work of revenue cycle team by checking for accuracy and completeness</li><li>Schedule, assign and prioritize workload within the department.</li><li>Develops, monitors, coaches, and supervises staff ensuring the development of employees through orientation, training, communication of rules.</li><li>Recommends and implements coaching or corrective action</li><li>Schedules and conducts team meetings</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Education/Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum 3+ years’ supervisory experience in medical billing environment</li><li>Or 5+ years’ supervisory experience in medical billing environment.</li><li>Healthcare experience in a large organization preferred</li><li>Direct experience with billing and collections in a medical office and ambulatory surgery center practice setting</li><li>Nextgen and Amkai experience preferred</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<ul><li>Complete understanding and an in-depth working knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle</li><li>Ability to serve as both a hands-on manager and a high performing individual contributor</li><li>Excellent judgement, understand what s/he does not know and what questions to ask to reach well informed decisions that minimize risk</li><li>Ability to establish and monitor performance/productivity standards</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills</li><li>Self-motivated team player able to multi-task and prioritize</li><li>Detail oriented</li><li>Professional and etiquette</li><li>Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills</li><li>Strong computer skills</li><li>Superior customer service skills</li><li>Great interpersonal skills; demonstrating patience, composure, and cooperation; working well with all patients, physicians, and staff</li><li>Understanding of and adherence to all safety, risk management and precautionary procedures, including the consistent respect for confidentiality (HIPAA)</li><li>Using time efficiently, with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and completion</li><li>Ability to manage multiple factors for the best result</li><li>Resourcefulness in addressing first level problems and tenacity to see things through to solution</li><li>Ability to remove oneself personally from given situations, remaining objective</li><li>Able to adapt to change, delays or unexpected events while maintaining a positive mindset</li><li>Clear oral and written communication</li><li>Ability to provide feedback to improve performance</li><li>Self-motivated; able to work following specific guidelines and in accordance with detailed instructions; measure self against standard of excellence, overcome obstacles and challenges with little supervision</li></ul>Work Environment/Physical DemandsThe work environment/physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.&nbsp; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable differently abled persons to perform the essential functions.Work may be performed in an office and clinical environment.
