The Engineer Training Program (ETP) is one of Howmet's longest running &amp; most successful technical development programs with alumni in leadership roles throughout the company.&nbsp; The focus of the ETP is to provide technical development &amp;&nbsp;training for new engineers in the processes, technologies, &amp; manufacturing that are used in the investment casting industry.&nbsp; The program also focuses on developing leaders &amp;&nbsp;building a strong foundation while exposing engineers to different parts of our Engines business.&nbsp; During the 18 months, individuals will participate in a total of three assignments, lasting six months each, &amp;&nbsp;will benefit from formal mentoring, coaching &amp; competency development. Assignments are cross-functional &amp;&nbsp;based on individual interests as well as&nbsp;the needs of the organization.&nbsp; During the final rotation, current full-time openings are matched to the interest(s) of the ETP Engineer &amp; a transition plan is implemented.&nbsp; This will ultimately lead to a final placement at one of the Howmet Engines locations in a role such as Process Engineer, Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Process Owner, Automation Engineer &amp; Facilities Engineer. Where Will This Position Be Located?&nbsp;3 rotations will be assigned among the following cities: <ul><li>Dover, NJ (2 facilities)</li><li>Hampton, VA (2 facilities)</li><li>La Porte, IN</li><li>Morristown, TN</li><li>Wichita Falls, TX</li><li>Whitehall, MI (6 facilities)</li></ul> *Candidates must be willing to relocate during the 18 month program* Daily Responsibilities/Activities:&nbsp;ETP Engineers&nbsp;will learn the following in the program: <ul><li>Affect change within the business: <ul><li>Contribute to some of the world’s most technologically advanced aerospace systems.</li><li>Ability to take on technical challenges and deal with complexity.</li><li>Experience cross functional technical development opportunities.</li><li>Step into a career directed toward becoming a future technical leader&nbsp;or business leader of the organization.</li></ul></li><li>Technical assignments will be diverse in subjects related to, but not limited to: <ul><li>Casting</li><li>Dimensional Analysis/Control</li><li>Alloy Manufacture</li><li>Metals/Ceramics/Polymers</li><li>Thermal Processing</li><li>Data Science</li><li>Automation</li><li>Coating</li><li>Facilities</li></ul></li></ul> Other benefits of the program: <ul><li>Provided with training to solve complex manufacturing challenges.</li><li>Exposure to multiple business segments, in different cities across the US.&nbsp; Opportunity to live in diverse locations, in various geographical locales: <ul><li>Near Lake Michigan - Whitehall</li><li>Close to the Atlantic Ocean - Hampton</li><li>Big city life (Chicago/New York)&nbsp;within driving distance - La Porte/Dover</li><li>Close to the Smoky Mountains - Morristown</li></ul></li><li>Access to a network of ETP alumni</li><li>Opportunities to improve process control/manufacturing throughput.</li></ul> BASIC QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li>Pursuing a BS&nbsp;in&nbsp;Engineering from an accredited institution with&nbsp;Fall 2024 or Spring 2025&nbsp;graduation date.</li><li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.&nbsp; Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.&nbsp; Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.</li><li>This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicants ability to lawfully obtain access to such items</li></ul> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS <ul><li>BS in Materials Science &amp; Engineering/Metallurgical/Ceramics Engineering, Automation, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.</li><li>Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment or lab environment.</li><li>Knowledge of MS Office and Excel, excellent written and oral communication skills, able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizational skills.</li><li>Working knowledge of statistical analysis.</li><li>Knowledge/exposure to facilities engineering&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated technical ability through classwork and projects.</li><li>Ability to work with and lead a team.</li><li>Knowledge of Six Sigma or lean manufacturing.</li><li>Desire to work in an advanced manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong analytical abilities.</li></ul> About Howmet Aerospace Howmet Aerospace Inc.
