Title:&nbsp;Assistant Softball Coach (Part-Time) Division: President's Office Department: Athletics FLSA Status:&nbsp;Non-Exempt Salary Range:&nbsp;Grade 6: $14.34/hour EEO Job Group:&nbsp;2 C9 Position Summary The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications for&nbsp;Assistant Softball Coach (Part-Time). Responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the management and administration of Softball intercollegiate sports program. Duties/Responsibilities&nbsp; <ul><li>Assist with coaching responsibilities during athletic events. Attend coaches’ preparatory meetings and implement strategies resulting from these meetings. </li><li>Scout for and recruit quality student-athletes and coordinates recruiting activities with the Head Coach. </li><li>Work with student-athletes and monitors adherence to rules and regulations for conduct, appearance, and behavior. </li><li>Arrange charter bus, charter air or commercial air transportation. </li><li>Secure ground transportation, arrange team meals and meeting space while on road trips. </li><li>Secure practice times and facilities. </li><li>Coordinate complimentary ticket list. </li><li>Keep accurate records and provide business manager with receipts and information necessary for the accurate completion of University forms. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.</li></ul> Required Knowledge and Skills <ul><li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.</li><li>Familiarity with OVC and NCAA rules and regulations.</li><li>Excellent verbal, written, organizational, management and administrative skills.</li></ul> Preferred Knowledge and Skills <ul><li>Related playing, coaching, and athletics administration experience preferred.</li><li>Proficiency with computers, internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email software.</li><li>Proven ability to work effectively with student-athletes, faculty, alumni, and administrative staff.</li></ul> Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements <ul><li>Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.</li><li>Frequent irregular hours including evenings and weekends required.</li><li>Hours not to exceed 28 hours per week.</li><li>Frequent travel required to the local and regional area.</li></ul> &nbsp; &nbsp; Application Process &nbsp; Click “Apply Now!” near the top right of this page to complete an application and upload application materials. The appointment will begin Spring or Fall 2024. Duties/Responsibilities&nbsp; This position will teach a broad range of undergraduate courses in computer science such as introductory and intermediate object-oriented programming in C#, programming languages, data structures and algorithms, operating systems, and software development.
