Job Summary
Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is inviting applications for tenure-track faculty positions in its highly ranked Department of Accountancy. The Department seeks outstanding candidates at the ranks of assistant, associate, or full professor in any area of accountancy teaching and research. Preferred candidates will have experience with integrating data analytics into their teaching or a strong record of academic program leadership. Appointments will begin in Summer or Fall 2025. These are full-time academic positions.The Department of Accountancyoffers a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Master of AccountingScience, Master of Science in Accountancy (available both in-personand online), and a PhD in Accountancy. Renowned for its leadership in dataanalytics education, the Department is home to the University ofIllinois-Deloitte Foundation Center for Business Analytics, which develops anddisseminates cutting-edge analytics curricula to faculty, students, andprofessionals globally.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates at advanced ranks must possess a PhD; candidates for assistant professor must possess or be near completion of a PhD. Candidates must have strong research as well as demonstrated teaching effectiveness and leadership potential commensurate with the position sought.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 1/13/2025. The budgeted salary rangefor this position is $250,000 to $320,000. Salary will be competitiveand commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, rank, and experiencewhile considering internal equity.
