Job Summary
The Smart Campus department is seeking help to support day-to-day IT (Information Technology) operations. The Smart Campus Support Technician will provide customer support utilizing existing departmental procedures and tools. The position will be part of a collaborative team with senior-level backing to help learn and accomplish assigned tasks. Duties include but are not limited to: supporting service incidents and requests; performing on-site repair, maintenance, system improvement, and testing of hardware and software; supporting UK’s Smart Campus initiative including Esports, Enterprise Digital Signage, and iPad support, distribution, and configuration; Cornerstone meeting room technology. The position will learn and support a large variety of software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, MS Office, Creative Cloud Applications, MS Teams, Zoom, iOS, with other various departmental applications. The position will also help support other departmental project needs including project management, process documentation and flows, information auditing and patch management, imaging and virtualization.
Applicants for this position need to be able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative spirit with team members and a drive to provide respectful customer-oriented assistance.
Successful candidates will possess self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service needs and then offer exceptional customer service solutions and dynamic problem-solving results.
