The Team

Fidelity Investments has an exciting Software Engineer in Test opportunity for someone who is passionate about cutting edge technologies, frameworks, and design patterns. You will be joining a team of engineers focused on engineering testing solutions on Fidelity's Core Brokerage product area, responsible for building and supporting the web user experience and the underlying platforms needed to support our digital presence.

You will be applying your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Fidelity investments software solutions. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. Software Engineers at Fidelity Investments pride themselves on their experience, leadership, and ability to establish relationships across teams.

The Expertise You Have

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software engineering or related field
  • 4-10+ years of experience with debugging, testing, and supporting web application
  • Proven highly proficient development skills within a few of the following: AngularJS/ReactJS, Node.js, Java, JavaScript, HTML5
  • Experience with web based and API based automation tool sets such as: Cypress, Playwright, Protractor, Selenium, REST Assured (Cypress or Playwright is preferred)
  • Experience using Jenkins, uDeploy, Jira, Stash, etc. is a plus.
  • Experience in delivering software in an Agile environment.

  • Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability, and security.
  • Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests
  • Support the team in designing reliable, accurate tests, and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health.
  • Enable the team in designing and developing automation harnesses using Cypress, Playwright, Selenium
