Position Information

Hiring Department: EXTENDED UNIVERSITY

Posting End Date: Open until filled. This posting may close once a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm, flexibility is required on evenings and weekends

FLSA status: Exempt

Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.

Salary: $46,550 annually.

A valid driver's license issued by the State where the applicant resides and insurability as defined in UTS 157 may be required to perform the position's essential functions.



Purpose of Position

Summary:Under the program manager's supervision, spearhead the planning and execution of the Youth Camps, language and Cultural Studies, and other programs as directed. Planning and execution will include scheduling classes, record keeping, logistical support, financial duties, and distribution of certificates. Successful candidates are energetic role models who enjoy working with a range of participants from youth to adults and have a calm nature while at work.

Essential Functions



  • Coordinates and develops programs and courses, advising program staff on the need for new or restructured programs, and leading the planning and execution of Youth Camps, Language and Cultural Studies, and other programs as directed.



  • Monitors classes to ensure program quality, develops methods for collecting feedback from participants, and makes necessary adjustments based on evaluations.



  • Uploads schedules to Aceware, submits catalogs to the Marketing department on time, and promotes programs at local events and on social media, while developing and coordinating communication and marketing plans through multimedia outlets, and adjusting strategies based on market reactions.



  • Ensures Youth Programs comply with University System Youth Camps Regulations and compiles and submits reports as required by management and regulatory agencies.



  • Recruits and identifies instructors for programs, facilitates and monitors the contractual process, including determining instructor pay and course costs, counsels interested individuals on instructor requirements, policies, and procedures, and serves as a contact for instructors and participants, participating in retention and intervention efforts.



  • Prepares and monitors budgets to ensure expenses do not exceed allocated funds, while researching and monitoring financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize competitive activity.

  • Reviews and analyzes practices and procedures, making recommendations to meet established standards.



  • Speaks to individuals, groups, and organizations to explain services and promote cooperation and understanding, serving on committees, boards, or councils.



  • Participates in various committees, professional training, industry conferences, and conventions.



  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and ability to learn and use institutional software systems.



  • Complies with all State and University policies.



  • Other duties may be assigned.



    Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university within the area of assigned responsibility.
