Job Summary
The respiratory technician II will have succesfully completed the first two semesters of an accredited respiratory therapy program and will have obtained a student license from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care. The respiratory technician II will be primarily be assigned shifts performing direct patient care for those therapies and patient care activities that are in the scope of student licensure per the KBRC. They may also at times be assigned shifts performing EKGs in the ED or supporting equipment needs for the respiratory services department. The respiratory technician II will also support equipment cleaning and reprocessing as well as cylinder storage rounds as needed during a shift.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Knowledge commensurate with a respiratory therapy student who has completed two semesters of an accredited program.
