What we need

As Director, Regional Sales, you will build our European Regionsales funnel, effectively manage customer relationships, and drive customer projects. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional partnership withkey stakeholders, including customers, sales,engineering, and operations.

What you’ll do

  • Directly identify and drive sales processes which lead to project closures consistent with sales business plans.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop new solutions configurations and designs that will integrate Symbotic systems into customers’ facilities.
  • Understand our customers’ business challenges, automation motivations, operational processes, and propose new solutions that deliver improved productivity and value.
  • Develop and maintain executive level relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Transform business needs into specific hardware, software, or system-level recommendations resulting in solutions that enhance our value proposition.
  • Work closely with Solutions Engineering to develop system warehouse layouts.
  • Lead sales calls to answer Symbotic technical questions.
  • Produce clear and concise executive communication (written, presentation, customer).
  • Capture customer requirements to support product evolution input.
  • Oversee and support commercial activities in other regions as needed.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations research, science, or business required; MBA or Master’s degreein engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in automation sales. 5+ years of experience in materials handling industry.
  • Proven track record of selling $50M+ solutions as well as managing complex projects and proposals in the automated materials handling industry.
  • Experience with financial analysis, business case justification, and cost/benefit tradeoffs
  • Prior experience writing sales proposals.
  • Strong presentation skills with the confidence to present to large, executive-level audiences and others.
  • Excellent team player, able to work professionally with various engineering team members.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills and commercial instinct.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in rapidly changing startup environment.
  • Travel national and international as required by the business.
