Position Summary



The University of Southern Indiana is accepting applications for Grant Coordinator.



This position is responsible for overseeing program office operations to ensure federal compliance, managing budgets and subawards, monitoring project expenditures and allocating funds appropriately, and serving as a liaison across USI departments and program partners. This is a federally funded grant position through June 30, 2025. Funding for each subsequent year up to June 30, 2029, is contingent on satisfactory progress and continuation from HRSA.







Duties/Responsibilities 

  • Oversee program office operations to ensure federal compliance.

  • Manage federal budgets and subawards, monitor project expenditures and allocate funds appropriately, and handle procurement and travel processes.

  • Facilitate budget revisions as needed.

  • Coordinate administrative tasks for student workers.

  • Maintain federal and university records.
  • Serve as a liaison between university offices (e.g., OSPRA, accounting, travel procurement, graduate school, human resources), under the direction of the GWEP project director.

  • Other duties as assigned.






Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite essential, with willingness to learn new applications.

  • Experience in organizing record systems and some bookkeeping/accounting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, exceptional organization skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in a team environment.

  • Valid driver’s license.






Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health, or related field with 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.

  • Previous experience with computerized information systems.

  • Experience or interest in gerontology.






Regular Work Hours/Travel Requirements



  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.



     



  • Occasional irregular hours may be required.



     



  • Occasional travel in and out of state may be required.
