Position Summary

The Finance Operations Director is responsible for leading the overall financial management of the ISC operations of Proximo. This position is accountable for the development and execution of a strategic vision for financial operations, including monitoring/forecasting financial data to identify potential efficiencies, and critical issues and ensure sound risk management and internal control environment. This position ensures that Operations P&L and Cash analysis and reporting for both current and outlook performance of the supply finance and accounting team. He/she is the principal business partner of the ISC VP.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and creation of supply chain processes being flexible and creative and acting as a change agent to influence adoption.
  • Ensure continuous improvement plans are in place for successful business continuity.
  • Create and implement a clear strategic vision of how finance can enable the supply chain to optimize the business and organization, connect operational metrics to accounting and financial outcomes, to drive business success and long-term growth.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership by partnering with Senior Supply Chain Management on initiatives and sequencing to create a competitive advantage in sourcing, production, logistics, distribution, and procurement achieving cost and service objectives
  • Develop tangible cost and capacity glide paths in line with revenue and profitability targets through production and sourcing strategies and CAPEX impact.
  • Lead the Supply Chain Finance function including 1) Financial Planning and analysis, 2) Sourcing/Operations support, and 3) Product pricing support.
  • Act as chief financial lead for the most impactful line on the company P&L – COGS and inventory
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, finance lead, reporting, and analysis provider to VP ISC and their direct reports.
  • Coach, mentor, manage, and develop the team in lline with the three core supply chain finance pillars mentioned above
  • Manage the commodity market basket (COGS) including preparing annual budgets, and monthly forecasts along with variance tracking each period including long-term plan
  • Mature the development of analytical views that include segmenting by the supplier, spend components (commodities, processing, freight, fees), historical inflation by brand, contracts by vendor, etc.
  • Build model capabilities to support future reporting efforts that could include cost to produce, buying behavior analytics, and validation of margins.
  • Lead the review process that shares progress with stakeholders and highlights areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Continue to expand financial reporting and drive standardization within Supply Chain Finance to help inform decision-making and provide leadership with a clear picture of COGS.
  • Partner with Procurement during RFPs to model out financial impacts and help ensure data is accurate and presented clearly for senior leadership
  • Help drive forecast accuracy by closing the loop on variance reconciliations and using data to improve forecast intelligence
  • Keep key stakeholders and leadership informed via Scorecards and Dashboards

Knowledge and Experience

  • Master's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance
  • Seven plus years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning. Relevant experience in the consumer goods industry, spirits experience, and/or 3-tier distribution experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of database and accounting application systems to supply the most accurate financial operations information. Four to six years of experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, time management and presentation skills required.
