Gateway Longview’s Residential Treatment Services supports male and female youth age 12-18 who struggle with behavioral, social, and emotional challenges. The goal of the program is to support youth in developing skills needed to reunify with their families or successfully integrate into the community.

Compensation
$59,000 - $67,000 (yearly)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Provide high quality clinical supervision to Residential and Enhanced Respite Social Workers. With special cases requiring significant support provide specialized Trauma Therapy. Interpret the family dynamics and treatment needs to the treatment team.
- Conduct thorough assessment of client needs and strengths. Under special circumstances monitor and offer complementary therapy services for those clients requiring additional therapeutic support.
- Based on assessment of family dynamics with the Social Worker ensure the most appropriate treatment plan is implemented and oversee the provision of appropriate therapeutic services.
- Provide effective on-going communication through regular participation in treatment planning conferences, CFT meetings and on-going consultation with other team members. Schedule and facilitate all initial meetings, SPRs, Gateway Reviews, and CFTs.
- Ensure full utilization of Residential and CAB by assisting in co-supervision of Intake Coordinator. This includes analysis, evaluation, and implementation of necessary changes to meet client needs determined to be reasonable expectations of Gateway-Longview programs. Maintain ongoing contact with referral sources to ensure effective communication and constant flow of referrals. Complete intake interview and assessments.
Assist in completion and review of required reports, including ICMPs and FASPs, and ensure that progress notes and other case specific reports are completed with content consistent with clients' needs as well as agency and state standards and due dates.
Actively maintain a mutually cooperative relationship with outside agencies. Anticipate and trouble-shoot problems and issues in a timely, effective manner.
In collaboration with the Primary Social Worker, Cottage Supervisor and staff, establish, monitor and refine as needed, cottage milieu.
Provide crisis intervention (including lethality assessments) as necessary.
Attend relevant community trainings. Conduct trainings for clinical/direct care staff.
Oversee the intake and program requirements for Enhanced Respite Program. Ensure family conflict resolution is completed with each case while the youth maintains all community services.
Ensure continuity of staff fully competent in carrying out assigned responsibilities and achieving program objectives through effective selection, training, supervision, evaluation, and motivation of assigned staff. Support the continued effective use of Solution Focused Trauma Informed Care concepts and techniques by all clinical team members.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Social Worker or Counselor with 5 years experience and demonstrated competence and knowledge of clinical issues of emotionally disturbed children and their families.
- 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity in a related field.
- Flexibility to work evenings to provide crisis support as needed
- Must have an active New York State driver’s license and active insurance for purposes of travel and community work
