Job Summary

The CTE Engagement and Communications Coordinator is directly responsible to the college Vice President and will develop all phases of the CTE program specific engagement and communications plan in collaboration with TBRs Marketing, Digital Strategy, and Public Relations Office.

Job Duties

  • Develop digital content and communications plans and materials for CTE programs (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate digital content to increase current student engagement, student retention, and new audience engagement for CTE programs of study (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Communicate regularly with administrative staff, student services personnel, students, and TBR's Marketing, Digital Strategy, and Public Relations office regarding communications plans (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Create reports using analytics and other measurements to drive student participation in CTE programs of study (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Design marketing and communications plans using CTE program-specific content in collaboration with the TBR office of Marketing, Digital Strategy, and Public Relations (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Collaborate with student organization advisors to develop and implement communications plans designed to expand SkillsUSA and other student organization participation (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Create virtual tours for CTE programs of study (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Coordinate and utilize digital content and media platforms to engage with local industry partners for program-specific guest speakers and other virtual collaborations (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Develop a Student Ambassador Program to share CTE program-specific content in a digital platform (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Travel to surrounding counties to work with Instructional Service Center students and faculty in the development of digital engagement and communications programs (Perkins V Funded) - (Essential)
  • Performs other duties directly related to career and technical education as assigned (Perkins V Funded) - (Marginal)

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree or Equivalent Credential from an Accredited Institution in Marketing, Creative Technology, or other related field of study.
Two (2) Years' Experience in Marketing, Graphic Design, Digital Content Creation, and/or Communications.
Experience using Digital Content Software (i.e., Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or Related Field of Study.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Computer Skills using Microsoft Applications
Knowledge of digital creation using web design, social media, and other relevant platforms
Experience designing materials for diverse audiences
Experience developing and implementing digital content and communications plans
Broad, general knowledge Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work afternoons and/or evenings during times when school is not in session

Salary:  Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines
