Position Summary:

 We are looking for General Laborers to help with manual labor tasks to support our operations teams. You should be able to concentrate on performing tasks and commit to safety rules.  Your job is a key contributor to the production of our infrastructure and agricultural products. Safety First – Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same.

Essential functions:

  • Ability to operate all machines, tools and other equipment in department.
  • Assist welders, machinists, fabricators and/or teammates on-site
  • Assembly and prepare materials
  • Use power tools and machinery when needed
  • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. assembly, offloading materials)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety rules
  • Maintain work area and equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Assist in accurate and timely inventory control management both physically and transactionally
  • Other duties as assigned by his/her manager to ensure the best possible Safety, Quality and Cost deliverables for Lindsay.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Must be able to adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures, while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, (push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs.) and reach to perform job functions
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with conditions including but not limited to cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
